Accessibility Statement
1. Scope of This Statement
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.my-place.at, operated by Medox Restaurant und Hotelbetriebs GmbH (Pramergasse 31, A-1090 Vienna). The statement was prepared in accordance with the Austrian Accessibility Improvement Act (Barrierefreiheits-Fortentwicklungsgesetz, BaFG) and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act).
2. Legal Basis
This website falls within the scope of the Austrian Accessibility Improvement Act (BaFG, BGBl. I Nr. 76/2023), which implements Directive (EU) 2019/882 into Austrian law. The BaFG requires that digital services offered to consumers (B2C) be accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as of 28 June 2025.
The applicable technical standard is EN 301 549 V3.2.1, which references WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
3. Conformity Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. The known non-conformities are listed in section 4.
4. Non-Accessible Content
The following content is not (yet) fully accessible. We are actively working to eliminate these barriers:
- Images and media content (WCAG 1.1.1): Some photographic content may not have complete alternative text descriptions. We are systematically adding descriptive alt text to all images.
- Colour contrast for decorative elements (WCAG 1.4.3): Some decorative text elements in the premium design (e.g. gold on white overlays) may not meet the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text. Informational text meets the required contrast ratios.
- Third-party booking widget (WCAG 4.1.2): The external booking widget (direct-book.com) is operated by a third-party provider. We have limited influence over its accessibility. Direct booking enquiries can alternatively be made via our contact form or by telephone.
- Interactive image galleries (WCAG 2.1.1): Some interactive image sliders/carousels may not be fully operable via keyboard. We are working to implement full keyboard navigation for all interactive elements.
